Ken Leeds was born and raised in White Plains, New York, a suburb outside New York City. He graduated from White Plains High School in 1972 and enrolled at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Leeds graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a teaching degree in 1976. After he graduated from Washington University, Mr. Leeds enrolled at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois and graduated in 1980. Mr. Leeds attended classes at night and worked full time during the day with the prestigious law firm Jacobs, Williams and Montgomery.

Mr. Leeds returned to St. Louis upon graduation, took and passed both the Illinois and Missouri Bar exams; started a family and hung the proverbial shingle with his college fraternity brother, Floyd Shechter. In 1985 Mr. Shechter left St. Louis and Mr. Leeds began his association with other attorneys in the St. Louis area. Mr. Leeds continued to nurture business and client relationships.
In 1984 Mr. Leeds was introduced to Piedmont, Missouri, a small rural community 150 miles south of St. Louis and 30 miles north of Poplar Bluff. Since then, in addition to his Metro St. Louis/Metro East practice, Mr. Leeds has expanded his practice to include Southeast Missouri including the counties of Wayne, Dent, Reynolds, Iron, Crawford, Butler, St. Genevieve, Ripley, Monroe, St. Francis and others.

Over time, Mr. Leeds has concentrated his practice in the personal injury and criminal defense areas, although he has represented small business clients throughout his career. Mr. Leeds is a trial lawyer who has handled medical malpractice, products liability, nursing home negligence, motor vehicle collision, premises liability, commercial litigation and felony cases. In addition, Mr. Leeds taught trial practice and advanced trial practice for many years at the St. Louis University School of Law. Most of the cases that come to Mr. Leeds are referrals from satisfied clients and other attorneys who do not try jury cases.
